When the clock strikes midnight on Wednesday...

... will Cinderella's lovely gown turn into rags?

It is a different feeling this time. Since last July, we have been living on edge, confident, hopeful, excited, full of faith for yet one more miracle. Pride and all kinds of emotions have overwhelmed us again and again. After-midnight celebrations had become a habit over the past 8 months.

Qualifying for Europa League Group stage on the 3rd of August: We celebrate.
Qualifying for Champions League Group stage on the 23rd of August: We celebrate.
A home win over Zenith St Petersbourg: We celebrate.
A home win over Porto: We celebrate.
An away draw in St Petersbourg, qualifying for the round of 16: We celebrate.
Qualifying for the round of Champions League QFS over Olympique Lyonnais: We celebrate.

And Cinderella's gown was becoming more and more glamourous with each celebration.

The international football world has bowed to Cinderella's spirit and courage over and over again.

Cinderella has given hope to all the weak of this world.

Cinderella has proved that COURAGE, FAITH and HARD WORK can do the trick.

Miracles DO happen.

Until she was called to face the QUEEN. And still she held firmly on her dream. She had faith and courage. She fought hard.

But the QUEEN was just too much for poor Cinderella. The miracle did not happen. Faith and courage were not enough this time.

And Cinderella spoiled her glamourous gown during the pre-party ceremony in GSP stadium. Just a little bit, but the dream ended anyway.

Now, poor Cinderella is called to play the last act of the dream in the historical and glamourous Santiago Bernabeu. The QUEEN's castle.

How will the QUEEN treat her? Will SHE rip Cinderella's gown into rags? Will SHE turn the dream into a nightmare?

Ah my poor Cinderella, my wonderful APOEL, you have gone too far this time in your glamourous gown. You have to face the QUEEN and try to protect your lovely gown that has been admired by so many around the world.

And hard work awaits you at home too. Will a possible return to rags affect your confidence and eventually your effort to return to the Big Glamourous Halls of UEFA Champions League?

I hope not.

I hope the QUEEN will respect your dream and let you return home in your beautifull gown.

I hope the QUEEN will respect the hope and courage you have given people around the world at very hard times.

QUEEN does not need to prove her superiority over poor Cinderella. QUEEN's superiority is a fact and internationally recognised.

And I think that the world will bow deeper to the QUEEN if SHE allows Cinderella to return home in her lovely gown.

So, it is a different anxiety this time.

Cinderella HAS TO return home strong. To continue her hard work. Will she make it?
